Tandem presentation with Eplan, insights into the Squid Data Hub, and conversations about modern engineering
Eplan Next26 is just around the corner, and we are excited to be part of it this year. We will not only be present with our own booth, but will also take the stage together with Eplan.
Our focus is on a topic that many companies are dealing with today: How can engineering data be organized in a way that makes projects more efficient, ensures reliable access to information, and makes collaboration between different stakeholders significantly easier?
Our tandem presentation with Eplan
On Wednesday May 20, 2026 at 11:30 AM, we will join Eplan in the Industry Lounge for a tandem presentation:
“Industry Insights Maritime – Data Management and Data Exchange in Shipbuilding”
Using real-world shipbuilding projects as examples, we will show how complex structures involving multiple trades, suppliers, and systems can be managed more effectively when data is consistently structured and properly connected.
“Large-scale projects clearly show how important consistent data structures and seamless access to engineering information really are,” says Christian Albrecht, Technology Consultant and Managing Director at Inspired Consulting. “Our goal is to make processes more transparent and to noticeably simplify collaboration between all parties involved.”
We will also discuss how engineering data can remain available throughout the entire project lifecycle, how data exchange between subsystems can be improved, and how transparency and traceability can be strengthened.
“The combination of the Eplan Platform and complementary solutions such as the Squid Data Hub demonstrates how engineering data can be meaningfully connected across system boundaries,” says Feeko Harders, Global Vertical Market Manager Maritime at Eplan.
Why this topic goes far beyond shipbuilding
Shipbuilding is a strong practical example because it brings together a particularly high number of stakeholders, technical systems, and regulatory requirements. However, the underlying challenges are similar across many industries.
Whether in plant engineering, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure, wherever multiple disciplines work in parallel, effective engineering data management becomes a key success factor.
Organizations that manage data consistently and exchange it efficiently create smoother workflows, reduce coordination effort, and maintain visibility even in highly complex projects.
Squid Data Hub as a central connection layer
With the Squid Data Hub, we are bringing our solution for modern engineering data management to Eplan Next. As a Technology Partner of Eplan, we extend the existing ecosystem with a central data platform.
“We often see that data exists in many projects, but cannot be used efficiently,” says Oliver Tigges, Technology Consultant and Managing Director at Inspired Consulting. “A centralized approach creates more transparency and significantly reduces coordination effort.”
The Squid Data Hub connects data from different sources, provides it in a structured way, and improves collaboration across system boundaries. For users of the Eplan Platform, this creates a reliable foundation for more efficient processes.
Meet us at Eplan Next
